Medical Patients
Medical patients are dogs and cats that come to our office for specialty care relating to a specific injury or illness. These patients retain the services of another veterinarian for primary care. Many of the dogs and cat we see on a daily basis fall into this category!
First time medical patients are booked in a one hour appointment time for their first visit with Dr. Sivula. This ensures the doctor enough time to perform a physical examination and discuss his recommendations with you. He will answer any questions you may have regarding your pet's condition and our therapies. But your first visit is more than just a consult - Dr. Sivula will commence treatment after deciding with you the best course of action! Because we dedicate a full hour to our new patients, there is a two to three week wait for appointments. Clients with very limited availability may experience a longer wait time, particularly if they are specifically requesting evenings and/or weekends. Please rest assured; our staff members make every effort to scheduled new clients in the soonest available appointment.

Because we 'share' most of our patients, we make every effort to keep your pet's other doctors in the loop. After your dog or cat's first visit, a copy of our findings and treatment plan will be forwarded to their offices.
