Medical Patients

Medical patients are dogs and cats that come to our office for specialty care relating to injuries or illness. These patients retain the services of another veterinarian for primary care. Many of the dogs and cats we see on a daily basis fall into this category!

Because we 'share' many of our patients, we make every effort to keep your pet's other attending doctors in the loop. After your first visit to our office, a copy of our findings and treatment plan will be faxed to their offices.

First time medical patients are booked in a one hour appointment time. This ensure the doctor has enough time to perform a physical examination and discuss his recommendations with you. He will answer any questions you might have about your pet's condition and our therapies.

But your first visit is more than just a consult - after deciding with you the therapies you'd like to pursue, Dr. Sivula will administer your pet's first treatment at that visit!

 The cost for this appointment is $145, and this figure includes any therapies done at the first visit. The only additional cost that might be incurred is for any medications or supplements Dr. Sivula might recommend.

Because we dedicate a full hour to our new patients, there may be a one to two week wait for appointments during busy times. Clients with very limited availability may experience a longer wait time, particularly if they are requesting evening or weekend availability. Please rest assured; our staff members make every effort to schedule new patient consultations for the soonest available appointment.
