Reiki

 Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that reduces stress, aids in relaxation and promotes healing. Practitioners apply Reiki by laying hands on a patient and directing universal life force for means of improving a pet's health and well-being. The person administering Reiki is a vessel through which healing energy flows; a higher good manifests it where it is needed in the dog or cat! The energy is guided by the pet's individual needs, and the Reiki flows to wherever it is needed.

Life energy plays an important role in everything - as long as something is alive, it has life energy circulating through it and surrounding it. If life energy is low, or if there is a restriction in its flow, our pets can become more vulnerable to illness.

 The free and balanced flow of our life energy is what keeps us healthy and happy. When this energy is disturbed, it can be a cause of mental or physical disease. Reikie charges the body with positive energy, and when a block of this important force is released, the dog or cat may experience a cold sensation when it is melted or a hot sensation as it is burned away.

 Reiki treatments are generally scheduled in half hour segments, and performed in a calm and quiet setting in our office. We promote this relaxing atmosphere with calming aromatherapy and soothing music therapy.
